Warden: Carl D. White
Carl White was named warden of Bartlett State Jail in June 2003. He previously served as warden of T. Don Hutto Correctional Center. White joined CCA in 1998 as assistant warden of Diboll Correctional Center. During his 37-year corrections career he has served as a warden with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, the Anderson County Sheriff's Office and Capital Correctional Resources Inc.

Overton, Texas is located in Rusk County and was founded in 1873. The oil boom in 1931 led to the the inital population of 4,500 but the population now averages 2,350. Overton has a good school district, community park and golf course. Offenders on the Community Squad help to maintain city property.

B. M. Moore Correctional Center is involved in the community through the Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Workforce Commission an the North American Warden's Association. Inmates also provide many hours of community service including landscaping, cleaning and renovation of the city park, swimming pool and golf course.

Educational, vocational and life skills programs; recreational programs; religious programs.
Visitation Schedule:
Offenders have visitation on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
