James Schomig, a 32-year veteran of the Kentucky, Nevada and Illinois correctional systems, serves as Warden at Eloy Detention Center. Before joining CCA in January 2008, Schomig served as Deputy Commissioner of Adult Institutions for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He started his corrections career in 1976 as a correctional officer with the State of Illinois. During his distinguished career, he has served as a Chief of Security, Assistant Warden, Warden and Deputy Commissioner.
