Warden: Jim MacDonald
Jim MacDonald was named warden at Florence Correctional Facility in May 2008. He began his career in corrections, which now spans twenty-four years, with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division as a corrections officer. He worked his way through the security ranks and held several leadership positions in the Texas system. MacDonald joined CCA in 1995 as warden of the Sweetwater Pre-Parole Transfer Facility in Sweetwater, Texas. He has also served as the assistant warden at both the CCA Cleveland Pre-Release Center in Cleveland, Texas (1996-1998) and the CCA Lawrenceville Correctional Center in Virginia (1999). He has also served as warden at Crossroads Correctional Facility in Shelby, Montana. MacDonald earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Violation of these rules may result in the termination of visitation privileges. Special visitation must be approved by the Chief of Security.

From Phoenix: I-10 East to Hwy 60 East exit. Drive East approximately 30 miles to Hwy 79 exit. Drive South approximately 17 miles to the town of Florence. Turn left on Diversion Dam Road at the McDonald's restaurant. Drive approximately one mile to Bowling Road and turn left. Florence Correctional Center is approximately 1/2 mile north on the left side.
