With a population of approximately 10,000, Grants is located on historic Route 66, off of Interstate 40, approximately 72 miles west of Albuquerque. There are plenty of sights to see in the Grants area. Among those sights are Laguna Pueblo and Acomo Sky.

Visitation Schedule: Visitation is available for all inmates Wednesday through Sunday and on all major holidays from 8:30a.m. to 3:30p.m. for General Population Inmates. Anyone who is on the inmate?s approved visiting list may visit during the scheduled time. Visiting is especially important to continue strong family relations. Visiting is set aside for Reception and Diagnostic (RDC) inmates and 60-Day Diagnostic Evaluation (D&E) inmates on Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for immediate family members only. Once a visitor leaves the Visiting Room, the visit is terminated and the visitor will not be allowed back in to visit the same day. Visitors will not be permitted entrance into New Mexico Women?s Correctional Facility to visit when there is less than 30 minutes remaining in the designated visiting hours (after 3:00 p.m.)
