Ralph Kemp has been Warden of Wheeler Correctional Facility since Summer 2000. Kemp joined CCA in 1998 as Assistant Warden of this facility. He came to CCA from the Georgia Department of Corrections, where he most recently served as Deputy Commissioner. A 30-year veteran with the Georgia state system, Kemp has served as Correctional Counselor, Assistant Warden, Warden and Regional Director.

Community Activities:
Wheeler Correctional Facility holds an annual blood drive with the Red Cross at the facility. Wheeler Correctional Facility also gives an annual donation to DCFS, donates vegetables to the nursing homes and needy families and participates in the Summer Reading Program at the public library in Alamo.
Awards: Wheeler Correctional was presented with the award of ACA Accreditation in August 2000 and was reaccredited in May 2003 and May 2006. Wheeler Correctional Facility's Medical Department was presented with the Medical Association of Georgia (MAG) Accreditation in November 2000 and was reaccredited in November 2003 and November 2006. Wheeler received re-accreditation with ACA in May 2003 and received re-accreditation with the Medical Association of Georgia in November 2003.
