CCA Names Members of Facility Activation Team
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 10, 2007 – Corrections Corporation of America has announced the appointment of four CCA professionals to the Company's Facility Activation Team: Vance Everett (Team Lead), Virgil Ensey, Johnny Wilkerson and Dennis Werner. Team members will specialize in key set-up functions, including human resources support, recruitment, procurement, and contract management in relation to the activation of newly developed or expanded CCA correctional centers.
Each team member brings considerable experience to his new role. Vance Everett is the former assistant warden of Willacy State Jail in Texas. He served as chief of security for Dawson State Jail and shift supervisor for Bartlett State Jail, both in Texas. Virgil Ensey is former unit manager of the CCA Metro-Davidson County Detention Facility in Tennessee. He has seven years of supervisory experience, including unit manager and assistant shift supervisor for David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center in Oklahoma. Johnny Wilkerson is the former quality assurance manager for Bay County Jail in Florida. He served as quality assurance manager for Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility in Mississippi and Gadsden Correctional Facility in Florida. Dennis Werner is the former safety manager/expansion supervisor for North Fork Correctional Facility in Oklahoma, with ten years of service with CCA and previous law enforcement experience.
“In meeting increased customer demand at federal and state levels for additional bed capacity, CCA continues to expand many of its existing correctional centers and construct new facilities. Our company already has a formal process within our real estate and facility operations divisions for activating these projects, but the addition of these members enhances our ability to streamlineactivities to better meet customer needs,” said CCA Executive Vice President and Chief Corrections Officer Rick Seiter. “We have recruited highly skilled and talented professionals, and are pleased to have their breadth of experience to help our facility activation efforts.”
