CCA 16th Annual Chairman's Charity Golf Classic Raises $200,000 For Local Organizations

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 27, 2007- Corrections Corporation of America (NYSE: CXW) hosted the 16th Annual Chairman's Charity Golf Classic on Thursday, September 27 at the Hermitage Golf Course in Hermitage, Tenn. The tournament successfully raised over $200,000 with all proceeds distributed to Middle Tennessee charities and organizations; a record-setting amount for this event.

"CCA is committed to giving back to the community by providing financial support and manpower to a variety of charitable causes, not just through our golf tournament, but through all of our 65 facilities that participle in their own communities," says John Ferguson, President and CEO. This year's charity recipients include Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, CASA, Inc., CCAssist Fund, Magdalene, Men of Valor, Nashville Inner City Ministry, Project Return, Renewal House, The Next Door, and You Have the Power.
